DY-26.JPGThen and Now92 viewsMarch, 2012. A fantastic "direct match" photo comparison after 45 years. This was on the beach at Duc Pho. The beach is not as wide as it used to be, and our guide told us that it has eroded a lot. {If you go back to the photo marked "DY-11", you will see Danny's original submission.}

DY-29.jpgThen and Now91 viewsI was able to find this school in Phu Cat. Hwy 1 runs through Phu Cat,
north of Qui Nhon, on the way up to Duc Pho, as you probably remember.

Vietnam_Monument,_OK.jpgMonument in Oklahoma84 viewsBeautiful granite monument erected to Vietnam veterans. Photo contributed by Danny Yates.

This photo has been selected to grace the Homepage of The Mighty Ninth. It is also very fitting that it resides in Oklahoma, the home of the Cannoncockers College.

DY-11.jpgAG gets the command to fire!83 viewsNote one hand on the radio handset and the other on the lanyard. Also note that the Gunner places his fingers in his ears. No wonder we all have "artillery hearing".

DY-32b.JPGThen & Now: the search for Base Camp81 viewsI went on Google Earth, with the photo tab on, and found this screen shot of Engineer Hill. I highlighted one of the picture icons so you can see the 3rd Brigade, 25th Inf Div label. All of the photos submitted at this location are labeled that way.
