TRIBUTES:

PFC Hite had an enduring smile and a very friendly personality.  He served "A" Battery with great care and diligence in food preparation. Along with Sp4 Dan "Ma" Stamper, they made a great team at LZ OD near Duc Pho.  They built a first-class field Mess Hall with boards from artillery shell boxes and were continually making improvements.  It was a great disappointment when "A" Battery left LZ OD in September, 1967 enroute to Tam Ky and the facility was torn down.
