Craig Faurot, 73, of Lancaster, passed away
November 5, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was born April
25, 1947 in Orange, New Jersey to the late Theodore and Jean Carlock Faurot. He
is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Patricia Faurot.
Craig was
honorably discharged from the US Army as a Sp4 Wireman with "A"
Battery, 2/9th Field
Artillery, 25th Infantry Division. He received the National Defense
Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Expert Rifle
Marksmanship Badge. Craig was very honored and proud to serve his country.
In an interview at his junior high alma mater in 1968, he pronounced that his
intention after the war was to “live it up” and that’s what he did.
He was an avid sportsman, who enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and building
"anything" with his friends, extended family, son, and grandson.
Craig and Pat were the proprietors of Pheasant
Hollow Farm and Loft Accommodations in Fly Creek, NY, before retiring and
eventually moving to Kentucky.
Surviving is a son, Shane Faurot (Dawn) of
Nicholasville, grandson, Caid Faurot of Nicholasville, and siblings, Doty
Cardinale of Preston, MD and Grant Faurot of Nutley, NJ.
Graveside services with military honors will be
11:00 AM Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Bro.
Jerry Browning officiating.
