CAPT JAMES N. ARAGAKI

James N. Aragaki of Newberg died Feb. 27, 2003. He was 66.   He was born March 31, 1936, in Honolulu to Saburo and Gozei (Tengan) Aragaki. He graduated from high school in Honolulu, then from the University of Hawaii in 1959, later earning a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Portland. He was a retired major in the U.S. Army, then became a member of the Oregon National Guard. He moved to Newberg in 1981, and met Norma Bliefernich. They were married Nov. 16, 1984. After retiring from the Army he worked for Ticor Title in McMinnville and retired in 2002.
