CAPT MICHAEL L. KINSELLA, Jr.  


OBITUARY

 

LtCol Michael Leo Kinsella Jr., US Army Ret., 69, of Windham, NH died Monday, January 14, 2013 at the VA Medical Center, Manchester, NH surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 17, 1943 in Boston, MA a son of the late Eileen (Murphy) and Michael L. Kinsella Sr. He graduated from Boston College and later graduated from Command and General Staff College with the US Army. Michael proudly served his country in the US Army during Vietnam, continuing his military career in the National Guard, retiring as Lieutenant Colonel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Janice (Malinowski) Kinsella, two daughters, Leigh A. Kinsella and Dana V. Kinsella, one brother, Kevin Kinsella, one sister, Sheila Wander, many cousins, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, January 18th at  St Mark's Church, Londonderry. Burial with military honors followed at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. Memorial contributions may be made to the VA Medical Center, Palliative Care Unit, 718 Smyth Road, Manchester, NH 03104.

Member of 2/9th Artillery in Vietnam Jan 69-70.  He was a Battery Commander.  According to his brother, he was RIF'd in '75, retired Lt Col in the Massachusetts National Guard, had a long civilian career with a MA state department that managed assistance programs.
