Sp5 Danny Fort
I PCS'ed to Fort Lewis, WA in September, 1968, where I was released from active duty. Within a month, I married my first wife. We had two sons and divorced in 1975. I then married my present wife in 1977. We had three daughters. We now have 16 grandkids.
I worked in construction and went to college, receiving an Associate Degree.
After college, I went to work for the Department of Defense at Fort Sill, OK until 1973,
transferring to Tinker Air base in Oklahoma City until 1976. Then, I was sent to
Altus Air Force Base at Altus, OK. I worked there until retirement
in 2002 with
32 years of service. I was in the Civil Engineers as a Structural
Specialist and Base Lock
Smith.
I haven't made a lot of money, but have had a good life so far.
And I still live the cowboy life style.
